AWARD-WINNING PHOTOGRAPHER AT TABLE HOUSE

This weekend we had a fabulous photographer to stay at Table House. Jocelyn Flint is a “postie” and a cowgirl from the wild west coast of Tasmania. She delivers the mail on the West Coast and droves cattle - never without her camera. A few year’s ago her photography won her a trip to ride horses in Mongolia. Last year she won the Advocate Newspaper’s annual Snapshots competition, winning a night’s accommodation at Table House for 8 people (not quite as exotic as horse-riding in Mongolia!). It was her husband’s 60th so they came to celebrate with 3 other couples. (Table House is the perfect place to celebrate milestone events). She’s a cracker of a character and she took some cracker shots around Table House Farm which she very kindly has allowed me to share here. She is quite a woman - aside from being a brilliant photographer. She featured in Tasmania’s Ten Days on the Island Festival this year in a series of very short films entitled “Women of the Island”.

Alan was also very pleased to learn they were a bunch of mad keen AFL Swans’ supporters. ( He’s been a Swans’ junkie for ever.) They watched the footy all afternoon before celebrating into the early hours of the next morning - despite the Swans loss to Essendon!
